Description
This 5 Oz Silver coin is the Special Edition of the “Micropuzzle Treasures” series and features the Creation of Adam. The coin has an innovative circular puzzle motif with over 290 puzzle pieces minted in Smartminting High Relief, has a detailed coloration and comes in a customized case with enigmatic opening, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Mintage of only 499 pcs!
Design
The reverse of the coin is a reproduction of the worldwide famous “Creation of Adam”, a fresco painting by Italian artist Michelangelo which forms part of the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling. The scene illustrates God, on the right, reaching out and almonst touching the finger of Adam to give him the gift of life. God’s and Amdam’s fingers are at the center of the design and serve as the focal point of the scene, which is also accentuated by the circular puzzle motif directing the gaze to the center. The design features three levels in relief: the base, the puzzle and the missing pieces of the puzzle, that lay on top of it. At the top of the reverse, the inscription: “2023” – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin features the Coat of Arms of Palau, surrounded by a beautiful decorative micropuzzle pattern. All around the obverse, the inscriptions: “MICROPUZZLE SPECIAL”, “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the issuing country and “20$” – the face value. Each coin is individually numbered on rim.
