To celebrate the 4th anniversary of our Molon Labe Series, the fourth Mint Club exclusive is another 39mm, 1oz round with an all new Molon Labe design. Molon Labe, meaning “come and take it” is a traditional Greek phrase expressing defiance, believed to be spoken by the Spartan King Leonidas when the Persian armies demanded the surrender of their weapons. The expression is commemorated in this one-ounce silver art medal.
• Contains: 1 oz. Troy .999 Fine Silver
• Obverse: A Spartan Soldier in a war pose. The words “MOLON LABE” along the circumference between noon and 10 o’clock.
• Reverse: An eagle with wings spread centered with a crown above and holding a flowing ribbon with the talons on a circular background of a diamond pattern. “500 Total Mintage” below eagle.
